With a rental from Motorhome Kings, you can leave behind the everyday and visit somewhere new, in Britain or abroad. Whether you want to wake up and see rolling English hills, rugged Alpine vistas or a beautiful French beach, everything is possible: if you can reach it by road, you can go there.

Our comprehensive service gives you the opportunity to explore the world in style, allowing you to return to nature while retaining those little creature comforts that we all enjoy. We offer our customers excellent customer service, exceptional motorhomes, and the open door to a world just waiting for you to head out and explore.

Motorhome Kings is based in Newcastle upon Tyne in Tyne and Wear.

If you intend to cancel or modify your booking, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellation charges will be applied to reflect loss to our business. These are:

More than 6 weeks before: total hire charge will be refunded.

6 weeks – 2 weeks: 50% of total hire charge will be refunded.

2 weeks – No Show: 100% of total hire charge will be retained.

A No Show event is where the customer fails to arrive to pick up their motorhome rental without taking steps to communicate a need to change the booking dates. If a client is a No Show, then the booking will be cancelled at the end of the working day on which pick-up was due, no refund will be offered, and the vehicle will be made available for re-hiring.

We arrange vehicle insurance for all of our motorhomes.Providing the driver has met the relevant criteria.

No, at the current time, there is no mileage limit on our motorhomes. We want our customers to be free to explore the world at their own pace, and don’t want to stifle their enjoyment in this way.

At the end of your adventures, you must return the motorhome to our depot in Newcastle upon Tyne. If it has sustained any damages or faults, please inform our staff at this time.

If you cannot reach the depot by the return date and time for any reason, you must inform our staff as soon as reasonably possible. Please be aware that by missing your return date and time, you may incur significant charges.

Yes, you can travel internationally in one of our motorhomes. As long as the vehicle is returned to our depot on the arranged return date with no damages.

There is an additional charge for international insurance also, our insurance caters for any member country of the EU along with Gibraltar, Iceland, Leichtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Serbia and Switzerland.

Each vehicle will be supplied with a folder containing the important documents, including the relevant numbers to call (within the UK) in the event of a breakdown.

We have a range of luxury motorhomes and we are constantly adding to our fleet to keep up with current demands.

Motorhome Kings is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, 3.2 miles away from the Port of Tyne Ferry Terminal, 7 miles away from Newcastle Central Train Station and 12 miles away from Newcastle International Airport. Our customers have immediate access to the A1, A1(M), A19 and A69. This allows for easy travel to Scotland, up and down the East of England, and easy access to the West Coast via the A69 and M6. All of our motorhomes come with the following equipment as standard. Separate shower and toilet, central heating and hot water, fridge freezer, grill and oven, 3 burner hob, reversing camera, propane gas bottle, kettle, crockery, cutlery, tumblers, pots pans and cooking utensils, fresh water filling hose, electric hook up cable, warning triangle, basic first aid kit, spare bulb kit, 2 levelling ramps, 10 inch Samsung tablet with satellite navigation system tetherable to a mobile phone, bicycle rack (max total weight 60kg)

We have both manual and automatic gearbox motorhomes and all are right hand drive.

The closest airport to our depot is Newcastle International Airport. From here, you can obtain easy transport to our depot where you will be picking up your motorhome. Visit our Find page for more details.

A limited number of our motorhomes are currently pet friendly.

If you possess points on your driving license, then you will be expected to provide details of the related offences prior to pick-up. Attempting to hide previous driving offences will invalidate the vehicle insurance provided by Motorhome Kings and your rental contract will be terminated with no grounds for a refund in any form.

Motorhome Kings motorhomes can be hired for a minimum period of 1 night depending on the season but anything less than 3 nights carries a surcharge.

To make a booking with Motorhome Kings, you can simply use our in-site booking system. Please be aware that the office will only be manned week days between 9.00 and 17.00.

You may collect your motorhome at any time between 14.00 and 16.00 on the day of commencement of your hire and drop it back off between 9.00am and 11.00am on the return date. Please be aware that the checks required on both out going and incoming motorhomes can take over 1 hour to complete and you must be present for these checks to take place.

In order to obtain a motorhome from Motorhome kings you must bring your valid driving license and a form of photo identity such as a passport along with two recent utility bills (dated within 60 days) which have a matching address to the driving license.

The security deposit on any Motorhome Kings rental is £1000.00 or £1500.00 if taking a pet.

There is an excess of £1000 on any insurance policy taken through Motorhome Kings.

Yes, the motorhome can be driven in Europe, and can be taken to Ireland or continental Europe via ferry.

No, all motorhomes must be returned to our depot in Newcastle upon Tyne.

No, at the current time Motorhome Kings cannot commit to delivery of vehicles. All pick-ups and returns must happen at our depot in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Yes, you can store your own car or other motor vehicle at our depot during your motorhome rental period for no added cost. If you wish to do so, please contact our office in advance to arrange this.

Within the vehicle, in most cases, the hot water and heating, gas hob,fridge freezer, grill/ oven all work on LPG.

All lights, water pump, USB sockets and the drop down bed are ran from the leisure battery.

Hooking up to main electricity allows the 240v plug sockets to be used and the leisure battery to be charged. The fridge will also operate more efficiently on this compared to the gas.

Assuming that the motorhome is driven efficiently, the vehicle can achieve roughly 25-28 miles per gallon, or around 350 miles per tank.

Yes, there will be at least one power point within the motorhome. This will be dependent on being connected to mains power. There will also be one 12V socket on or near the dashboard for charging of phones or sat navs etc. There are also a number of USB charging plugs around the vehicle.

We can supply a TV/DVD Player as an optional extra.

Bedding and towels are available as an optional extra from Motorhome Kings.

Yes, all of our motorhomes are suitable for winter hire. They have double glazing and appropriate insulation, alongside gas heating/ hot water systems to ensure the comfort of our customers.

A leisure battery is the battery storage for all electric systems in the vehicle. It is charged by driving the motorhome. Please be aware that it has a finite charge and should be charged through either regular driving or by connecting to mains power.
